Hoarding Panels & Portable Hoarding System

Our portable hoarding system offers the client the flexibility of a temporary fencing system whilst retaining the privacy and added security of a traditlonal timber hoarding system.

Our panel system is more versatile than traditional timber versions, boasting a completely free standing system for sites where excavation of the ground is not possible and also has the ability to be dismantled and re-erected with ease as and when site boundaries change through building phases. One of the key abvantages of steel hoarding over timber versions is their re-usability,making the system more cost effective as they can be dismantled and moved to other sites on project completion.

Due to the solid nature of the hoarding system it is essential that it is erected and supported correctliy due to the increased wind loading. Panel Shop have designed a number of simple stabilising arrangements to suit all types of site terrain. We can offer a full technical support service on all aspects of hoarding installation such as wind loading data stabilisation to make your decisions that little bit easier. So please feel free to contact our office should you have any queries.

Hording Panel Features:

Bespoke Sheeting Profile

Most portable hoarding systems on the market are manufactured from sheeting that has been designed for typical roof, building and cladding applications. Our sheeting has been uniquely designed for hoarding panels with a profile that results in a high strength infill with a clean modern look. Firstly, our sheet has 50% more ridges in its profile giving the panel increased strength and thus resistance to denting on site i.e 18 ridges across a panel compared to the usual 12 on most panels Secondly, the sheeting has a bespoke symmetrycal profile which looks aesthetically smarter, giving the company using it the prestige and livery it requires to impress its clients and potential buyers.

Special Channels

Our hoarding panels are constructed from heavy-duty 1.5mm thick steel channels that have a unique 12mm lip. This not only fully captivates and supports the panel sheeting from any potential movement, but it also adds rigidity across the whole panel length.

Lipform™

This further demonstrates the benefits of bespoke design, as our sheeting is specially formed with a 10mm lip detail that gives extra benefits to the user The lip detail is citical in a hoarding panel as it must allow sufficient overlap at the joint tube for the parallel couplers to clamp the sheeting against the post giving it additional security when installed on site.

Note: this overlap must not protrude past the centre line of the joint tubes, where it could cause potential injury and risk of cuts to site erectors and operatives. Panel Shop's Lipform™ eliminates this danger ensuring maximum safety to users and the public.

Central Overlap

All 2m wide hoarding panels are constructed using 2 no steel sheets, the weakest point of which is often the central overlap or lack of overlap Our panels have a minimum overlap of 1½ profiles at the centre point, giving additional support where it's most needed!

Superior Finish

Our panels are not only galvanised at the base but consist of sheeting that has been pre-coated with a polyester factory finish. This not only prolongs its life but helps promote a clean and professional corporate image when installed.

Hoarding Fence Panels

2.0m Hoarding Panel

2.0m Hoarding Panel2m in height and 2.2m in length with 1.5mm all around heavy duty galvanised framework. This panel has a 150mm leg which allows it to be erected in standard fence bases for ease of installation and total compatibility with our temporary fence panels and pedestian barriers. The panel sheeting comes in two thicknesses, a heavy-duty 0.7mm designed for the hire market and a lighter gauge 0.5mm sheet suitable for re-sale purposes The sheets are galvanised with either a grey polyester coating (offering a galvanised look whilst reducing any reflective glare) or white, both giving excellent protection against the elements.

2.0m Hoarding Panel without legs

2.0m Hoarding Panel without legsVery similar in specification to the standard 2m panel except longer sheeting and a lower positioned bottom channel is used to fabricate a panel without any legs. This panel cannot be erected into standard fence bases and must be installed solely using either our Windjammer™ or In Ground stabilising arrangements. Once erected in-situ it offers a fully clad system, right down to ground to the offer the client further privacy.

2.3m Hoarding Panel without legs

2.3m Hoarding Panel without legsFor additional security the panel is 2.3m high and 2.2m in length with a 1.5mm fully framed heavy duty galvanised panel. This panel is exclusively fabricated with heavy-duty 0.7mm sheeting and is also solely for use in conjunction with the 'in ground' and 'Windjammer™' (as it is unsuitable for erecting in standard bases).

Note: This system is subject to greater wind loadings due to its additional height and must be installed using a suitable stabilising system.

Stabilising Systems

Stabilising Arrangement 1
Bolt Down system (fixed):

Stabilising Arrangement 2
Blocktray system (free standing):

A simple and highly effective system where the panels are supported by hoarding backstays (stabilisers) that are connected at the joint to the coupler at rear of the system A bolt down plate is then secured at ground level to the backstay which is then fixed down using suitable ground anchors.

Stabilising Arrangement 1 - Bolt Down system (fixed)

Ideally suited for use where 'in ground' systems cannot be installed, or sites where fence lines are continually being moved. The system is totally free standing using ballast weights to support it, preventing overturning when exposed to wind loadings.

Stabilising Arrangement 2- Blocktray system (free standing)

Stabilising Arrangement 3
Windjammer™ system (free standing):

Stabilising Arrangement 4
In Ground system:

Works on the same principal as the Blocktray system, the Windjammer™ system is the ultimate free standing system and is ideal for use on exposed sites or those where high wind speeds may cause problems.

Stabilising Arrangement 3 - Windjammer™ system (free standing)

Ideal for use on sites that are restricted for space as the system does not require a backstay and is supported by steel tubes that are permanently fixed into the ground. This removes the need for hoarding backstays (stabilisers) that encroach onto the site taking up valuable space. This would be a typical problem in city centre sites where space is at a premium.

Hoarding Ancillaries

Hoarding Infills

Hoarding InfillsThis is a narrow steel sheet that covers the gaps between the full heights of the ected hoading panels resulting in a total privacy system. The edges of the infill are folded back to increase strength and prevent a sharp edge that may cause a hazard to pedestrians.
